The client requested a new layout to this lower ground floor flat which would provide a large contemporary kitchen living space where she could host and cook for a number of friends. The previous configuration had a bedroom to the rear blocking any connection to the garden. The side return infill will create a large open plan living space, with direct access to the new office studio at the bottom of the garden. The current living room to the front of the flat will become the master bedroom with a new ensuite. In order to get light further into the deep plan, an internal courtyard is proposed.
