About us
Studioware is led by Robert Ware, an RIBA & ARB chartered architect with experience across all sectors. Having gained a wealth of knowledge working for Leeser Architecture in New York, Foster+Partners in London, and Studio PDP in Hong Kong, Robert returned to London to found Studioware Architects and is now also based in the Scottish Highlands.
The studio undertakes a variety of projects at all scales all over the UK including residential, hospitality, retail, furniture, and interior design. We have a wealth of experience in listed buildings and conservation architecture, and we can also offer planning consultancy and contract administration services.
Every project begins with an understanding of its environment and we believe architecture should enhance its setting rather than compete with it. Our designs draw inspiration from Scotland's vernacular building traditions while embracing contemporary forms, sustainable construction methods and modern living requirements.
Designing and building in remote locations requires specialist knowledge. We have experience working throughout the Highlands, navigating complex planning considerations, challenging site conditions and demanding weather environments.
Our approach focuses on creating buildings that are energy efficient, durable and carefully integrated into their surroundings utilising the right materials to create architecture that feels timeless and uniquely connected to its site.
